The book has two types of pages. We refer to them as "Data" and "Town" pages. Data pages have mileage data, and Town pages describe goods and services that may be of use to hikers when they reach towns (or road crossings from which one can hitch).
One of the unique and handy features of the book is that the book displays this information in side-by-side pages. The mileage data always is on the right hand page, and the corresponding town info is usually on the page to the left.
Loads of information is loaded into these pages in a very concise and intuitive manner. Please take a look at these two images; this is the best way to familiarlize yourself with the features of Appalachian Pages.
