Rocky Run Shelter MD

There looks to be a second shelter completed across the hollow from the original shelter. AP lists this shelter at 4 people. The other one looked larger, along the size of the David Lesser or perhaps Ed Garvey. I walked into the shelter area and since there was a shelter, a cooking platform and a chair swing, I wasn't really looking for an additional structure. After cooking lunch, it dawned on me that the cabin across the gulley was another shelter. You could probably get the specifics from PATC.

The new Rocky Run Shelter was built in 2008 and has capacity of 16. The blue-blaze to the new shelter is just north of the blue-blaze trail to the old shelter. The old shelter is restored and will stay in use. The water source for both shelters is on the side trail to the old shelter.

I think I was told this, but got confused because there is another new R-alliterative shelter nearby (Raven Rock).
