Appalachian Pages 2009 has few landmarks in the 40 or so miles north of Erwin because there were relocations in this section in 2008. Prior to Trail Days I walked this section with a GPS to get new data. I've listed new landmarks below. The first column is NOBO mileage, the second is elevation in feet.
This info does not come "straight off the GPS." I conformed the data to fit official (ATC provided mileages) to shelters and known elevations. GPSs are not good at reading elevation.
